Elegant Bridal Portraits

Elegant Bridal Portraits Eden Gardens State Park

As a photographer, I love telling stories through photos, but I also love telling the fun background story of the people in the photos. This particular session was special for me because I was able to capture the details of a wedding dress of a dear friend of mine.

This friend had contacted me a couple of months ago expressing interest in capturing more photos of her wedding dress before she had it preserved. She has been married for a couple of years, but wanted more portraits because she didn’t get all the details captured on her actual wedding day.

We started around 8 AM at Eden Gardens State Park, which has quickly turned into one of my favorite locations to shoot. The colors are so vivid and the lighting is perfect no matter what time of day you visit. Other than the humidity, the shoot was perfect and we had so much fun capturing these photos of her beautiful dress.

I love the elegance, class, and natural beauty shown in these photos. They definitely give me Audrey Hepburn vibes!

I’ve asked several of my clients their opinion of post-wedding bridal shoots like this, and I have received a mix of answers. Many don’t like the idea of getting dressed up and ready again after their wedding, which is totally understandable. However, for a shoot like this- a couple of years after the wedding- I thought it was such a sweet way for my friend to relive her wedding day, create new memories, and gain some new gorgeous bridal portraits without the time crunch and stress of the actual wedding day.

Let me know your thoughts! I personally loved capturing these details and would LOVE to do more of this type of shoot.
